Data we store

• Account data such as your email address and authentication records.
• The beliefs, reasons, confidence levels, schedules, categories, and immutable review history you choose to record.
• PayPal subscription identifiers and status. PayPal handles payment-card and funding details; the service does not store them.
• Privacy-limited product analytics such as page paths, button interactions, scrolling, device type, and an opaque account identifier. Belief text, reasoning, form values, email addresses, and URL query tokens are excluded.
• Basic security and operational data needed to prevent abuse and keep the service available.

How data is used

Data is used only to operate your private journal, authenticate your account, schedule reviews, provide exports, understand feature usage, manage subscriptions, maintain security, and respond to support or legal obligations. Belief content is not sold, used for advertising, or published.

Storage and service providers

Authentication and billing status are stored with the service’s account system. Beliefs and their history are stored in PostgreSQL in production. PayPal processes subscription payments under its own privacy policy. Mixpanel processes privacy-limited product analytics; session replay may show non-sensitive page text on public, sign-in, Settings, and Billing pages, while all form inputs remain masked. Replay is disabled inside the private journal and on token-bearing callback pages. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page performance and Core Web Vitals without cookies or local storage. Hosting and email providers process only the information needed to provide those services.

Your controls

You can export your journal from Settings. You can archive or delete beliefs, and you can permanently delete your account. Account deletion removes account-bound beliefs and history, subject to short-lived backups and records that must be retained by law.

Security and retention

Access to belief data is restricted by account ownership. Data is retained while your account exists and removed when it is no longer needed for the purposes above. No internet service can promise absolute security.

Children and changes

The service is not directed to children under 13. Material changes to this notice will be published here with an updated effective date.
